NEW YORK - city portrait (Video)

"I shot this film in april 2006 during a 3 week stay in NYC. It was an incredible time, the city holds so many surprises. I shot it with a Canon 400D (ruining it, the shutter gave out :-)

I´ve had lots of help with this project, enabling shots from the german embassy and even out of the 44th floor of the Crysler Building. It is the first of a series of city portraits , coming soon: Hong Kong, Shanghai and Istanbul so stay tuned." via ilovegraffiti click vimeo.

FROM THE HOOP

"The story is widely inspired by the life of Earl Manigault, one of the greatest basketball player of his generation who lose everything in drugs. The end of his life was dedicated to avoid children of Harlem having the same story.

So he started the "Walk Away From Drugs" tournament for kids. He died in 1998 from a heart failure. Please have a look at the making of on our website for further informations." via changethethought

Fifty People, One Question: New York

"We asked the same question and it took us somewhere new. Gone were the lazy days of summer. A cool breeze swept the streets with leaves under foot and the familiar hustle of the city. Welcome to autumn in New York.

It’s a simple question. And the answers can lead us anywhere. So go ahead, ask yourself… Visit fiftypeopleonequestion and post your response.

We also asked this question in New Orleans, LA. Check it out: vimeo . New locations (and questions) coming soon" via swissmiss

FAKE - NEW YORK TIMES DECLARES IRAQ WAR OVER!

"The Iraq War is over, according to the fake New York Times! This morning a cadre of volunteers has fanned out across New York City to pass out a remarkably good, faux-copy of the Times dated July 4, 2009. They've even set up an entire website with all of the liberal fantasy headlines.

Universities to be free! Bike paths to be expanded! Thomas Friedman to resign, praise the Unitarian Jesus! It's not funny like The Onion, but obviously a lot of work went into this. Now we play "Who did it?" We already know! ..." read more via spreeblick + blog.handelsblatt
